In second grade, your child will be receiving TWO sacraments of Initiation: First Reconciliation and First Eucharist. What a special year this is sure to be!

First Reconciliation

1. Retreat Date: Saturday, January 11, 2025
   ★ Parents & students start in the Social Hall and process into the church for confession

2. Prepare at home:
   ★ Age-appropriate materials are provided as needed
   ★ Practice the Act of Contrition

First Eucharist

1. Retreat: March 22, 2025 & First Eucharist: May 3 & 4 (tentative)

2. Prepare at home:
   ★ Age-appropriate materials are provided as needed

3. If your child was not baptized at St. Edward, we need a copy of his or her baptism certificate. It has to be an official document sent by the church of baptism. This can be done by calling the parish and requesting them to send one to St. Edward.
